RIGUARDO AL PROSSIMO GIUBILEO DELLA MISERICORDIA - ON THE UPCOMING JUBILEE OF MERCY

Una riflessione di p. Luigi Consonni, missionario comboniano, sulla dinamica che conduce alla conversione per il Regno di Dio. “La missione di ogni credente, della Comunità – la Chiesa – è l’avvento del Regno a favore della realtà sociale più umana, fraterna e responsabile” – afferma p. Luigi. “In dialogo con la complessità del mondo contemporaneo essa impone l’attenzione ai ‘segni dei tempi’ in esso presenti. Accoglierli e interpretarli alla luce degli effetti del mistero pasquale – del dono – fa della persona e della Chiesa sale, fermento e luce del “nuovo cielo e della nuova terra” (Rev. 21,1), rispettando le diversità etniche, culturali e religiose, nell’orizzonte dell’ “amatevi gli uni gli altri come io vi ho amato” (Gv 15,12). Accogliere e interpretare tali segni è compiere la volontà del Padre per la salvezza di tutti (1Tim. 2,4)”.

Luigi. “In dialogue with the complexity of the contemporary world this mission requires attention to the ‘signs of the times’ present in it. To welcome and interpret them in the light of the effects of the Paschal Mystery – i.e. the gift – make the person and the Church salt, leaven and light of the "new heaven and the new earth" (Rev 21,1), respecting the ethnic, cultural and religious diversities within the horizon of  the ‘love one another as I have loved you’ (Jn. 15:12).  To welcome and interpret these signs is to do the Father’s will for the salvation of all (1 Tim. 2,4)”.
