PARADIGMI, NUOVI PARADIGMI MISSIONARI E PROBLEMATICHE APERTE - PARADIGMS, NEW MISSIONARY PARADIGMS AND OPEN ISSUES

“Oggi si parla molto di nuovi paradigmi missionari e di modelli interpretativi della missione. E a ragione. La situazione del mondo e della Chiesa cambia e, con essa, il modo di fare missione”. Così inizia l’articolo di p. Mariano Tibaldo sui nuovi paradigmi missionari. Concludendo l’articolo l’Autore afferma che la vera questione della missione oggi non verte sulle modalità, sulle strutture missionarie o sui paradigmi interpretativi della missione, ma su un credibile annuncio di Gesù Cristo il quale, come dice il Papa nell’esortazione apostolica Evangelii Gaudium, deve essere “presente nel cuore stesso dell’impresa missionaria” e un missionario che non è convinto di questo, prosegue il Pontefice “presto perde l’entusiasmo e smette di essere sicuro di ciò che trasmette, gli manca la forza e la passione. E una persona che non è convinta, entusiasta, sicura, innamorata, non convince nessuno”

“Today much is talked about new missionaries paradigms and mission’s models. And with good reason. The situation in the world and the Church is changing and, with it, the way to do mission”. So begins the article by Fr. Mariano Tibaldo on new paradigms of mission. Concluding the article, the author states that the real question today is not about how to do mission, on structures or on missionary paradigms, but on a credible proclamation of Jesus Christ, who, as the Pope says in his Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, must be "in the heart of missionary enterprise" and if we are not convinced of this, the Pope goes on "our enthusiasm soon wanes and we are no longer sure of what it is that we are handing on; we lack vigour and passion. A person who is not convinced, enthusiastic, certain and in love, will convince nobody".
