I cristiani europei sono per la maggioranza non praticanti, ma si distinguono da coloro che non si riconoscono in nessuna religione per quanto concerne l'atteggiamento verso i musulmani e gli immigrati, i punti di vista su Dio e le opinioni sul ruolo della religione nella società. Ma cosa vuol dire essere cristiani oggi in Europa occidentale? È una domanda spesso ricorrente, che molti periodicamente si pongono ed è frequente oggetto di indagini e di analisi. A questo interrogativo risponde ora un nuovo lungo accurato sondaggio effettuato dal Pew Research Center, tra l’aprile e l’agosto 2017  effettuato dal Pew Research Center, tra l’aprile e l’agosto 2017.

The majority of Europe’s Christians are non-practicing, but they differ from religiously unaffiliated people in their views on God, attitudes toward Muslims and immigrants, and opinions about religion’s role in society. But what does to be a Christian today in Western Europe  mean? It is an often recurring question, which many periodically ask themselves and is frequently the subject of investigations and analyses. To this question a new long and accurate survey carried out by the Pew Research Center, between April and August 2017, now responds.
