Giustizia nell’economia globale. Costruire società sostenibili e inclusive - Justice in the Global Economy. Building Sustainable and Inclusive Communities

“Fin dall'inizio del suo pontificato, Papa Francesco ha ripetutamente sollecitato sia la Chiesa, sia la società in generale a porre attenzione ai problemi di giustizia insiti nella economia globale del nostro tempo” […] “Costruire società inclusive e sostenibili è un'esigenza fondamentale dei nostri tempi; società che consentano a ciascuno, con particolare riguardo per i soggetti più vulnerabili, di condividere le ricchezze accumulate da generazioni; società che si impegnino nella tutela dell'ambiente.”

Il documento, pubblicato dal Segretariato per la Giustizia Sociale e l’Ecologia della Compagnia di Gesù nel 2016, è il risultato del lavoro da un gruppo di economisti e teologi, gesuiti ed esperti laici radunati a Roma nel 2015 per “riflettere su come le attuali economie incidano sull'inclusione e la sostenibilità, e studiare nuove modalità che permettano alle economie di meglio rispondere alle esigenze dei poveri e dell'ambiente”.

“Since the beginning of his Pontificate, Pope Francis has repeatedly called both the Church and the larger society to turn their attention to issues of justice in today’s global economy.” […] “Building inclusive and sustainable communities stands as a major demand of our times: communities that allow everyone to share in the wealth accumulated by generations, with special concern for the most vulnerable; communities that are committed to protect the environment.”

The document, published by the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat of the Society of Jesus in 2016, is the result of the work of a group of economists and theologians, Jesuits and lay experts gathered in Rome in 2015 “to reflect on how current economics are affecting inclusion and sustainability and to explore ways in which economics can better respond to the needs of the poor and the environment.”
