L’opinione di fra Mamdouh Chéhab Bassilios ofm sulle elezioni parlamentari svoltesi in Egitto in ottobre. Le elezioni parlamentari erano la terza tappa della ‘road map’ indicata dal presidente Al-Sissi. Le altre due si fissavano sulla redazione di una nuova costituzione e l’elezione di un nuovo presidente.  Queste elezioni, secondo fra Mamdouh, hanno decretato una bocciatura del partito islamista di ispirazione salafita Al-Nour perché, sottolinea l’autore, “il popolo egiziano non crede più a chi sfrutta l’Islam per realizzare qualche scopo politico”.  

The opinion of Mamdouh Chehab Bassilios OFM on the parliamentary elections held in Egypt in October. The Parliamentary elections were the third leg of the 'road map' decreed by President Al-Sissi. The other two were the drafting of a new constitution and the election of a new president. This election, according to Fr. Mamdouh, have decreed a rejection of the Al-Nour Islamist party inspired by the Salafist because, the author points out, “the Egyptian people no longer believe in those who use Islam to achieve some political ends.”
